Chneble is a private, non-commercial project. The website uses no cookies and no analytics or advertising services, and it has no user accounts or forms. This page explains which data is still processed when you visit.

The website is hosted by green.ch AG on servers in Switzerland. The fonts and all other files are loaded from there too. As with any website, the server records technical access data on each visit: IP address, date and time, the file requested, the page you came from (referrer), and your browser and operating system. This data is used only to run and secure the website. I don't analyse it or combine it with other data. green.ch processes it on my behalf and deletes it according to its retention periods.
To show the weather, your browser fetches the forecast directly from OpenMeteo GmbH in Bürglen (UR), Switzerland. Open-Meteo receives your IP address and the coordinates of the rinks, but not your location. According to Open-Meteo, this data is used only for operations and abuse prevention, is not shared with third parties and is deleted after 90 days (Open-Meteo's privacy terms).
The website keeps two entries in your browser. They are never sent to a server:
chneble-roof (localStorage): your choice of «All», «Covered» or «Open-air». It stays until you change it or clear your browser data.chneble-wx (sessionStorage): the last weather forecast loaded, so it doesn't have to be fetched again within 30 minutes. The entry is removed when you close the tab.The links to Google Maps and to the rinks' booking schedules lead to other websites. Data only goes to those providers once you tap such a link, and their privacy policies apply from then on.
I don't store any data about visitors myself. If you write to info@chneble.ch, I use your message and email address only to reply to you. Questions about privacy can go there too.
